Bubble Head

Am I missing something?
In a shop the other day, I came across a toy so utterly ridiculous, that I had no choice but to put down my twenty bags of shopping, rummage through my handbag for my phone, (only to find it in my pocket), and take a photo, just for you.
But what is it, I hear you say? Alright then, my lovelies, believe it or not, what we have here is a skipping rope with bottles of bubble mixture for handles!  Did you ever in all your life?
Now, I'm not entirely clear how it's meant to be utilized-does one blow bubbles while skipping, simultaneously? But surely that would seem a precariously messy scenario that couldn't end well....
Or perhaps, as one might naturally assume, both activities are mutually exclusive? But if THAT'S the case, what the hell is the point of this useless toy at all?
So here's what I REALLY want to know - Who's the eejit who thunk this one up, what were they smoking at the time, and when the hell are they on 'Dragon's Den', so I can sky + it?

  2. Emms the inventor is probably sipping cocktails in marbs. Easy money im afraid. Do the bubbles not come out of the holes in the rope whilst one is skipping. Just a thought.

    1. Are you a secret inventor? Now, I think about it, this is EXACTLY the sort of thing you'd think up...I shall grill you fully next week.

    1. *sigh* you know they would-in fact, there's been in depth discussions about this picture alone. It's not happening though!

  5. Yes, I agree with Fergal - I think the bubbles 'float' out of the rope as you skip. So not only are your hands covered in slimy bubble mix but your clothes and hair are too! Genius! Every mother's joy.

    1. Ugh! Worse than I thought. Whoever dreamed this one up is not a parent.
