Life's Big Questions...for Boys

Some nitwit's put two dunnies in here!
I was in the kitchen the other day with Mac and Rory- I'm folding clothes, they're unpacking the dishwasher and then out of the blue,
Cormac -'Mummy what's that thing with the taps, beside the toilet, in the upstairs bathroom?'
Clearly, he'd only just noticed it... it's only been there five years, I suppose.
Me- 'It's a bidet'.
Cormac-  'Yeah, but what's it for?'
Rory (without hesitation)- 'It's for washing your feet.'
Pause...because I'm seriously tempted to just leave it at that...but then I'd surely be missing a golden opportunity to teach and educate...blah blah blah, so,
Me- 'Wellllllll, it's not ACTUALLY for washing your feet.'
Now I have their complete and undivided attention. This is rare. All work has stopped and they have swung round to look at me, totally intrigued.
Then, in unison, 'What's it for then?'
I braced myself. 'Well, you see, it's actually for washing your bum.'
Both-'What??? No way! Really??'
Cue the inevitable mirth, uncontrollable giggling and the clutching each other for support. For. A. Very. Long. Time.
Then Rory- 'Yeah, but we'll still just use it for washing our feet, won't we?'
You just gotta love boys....

  6. Good old Rors&Mac!! But Ems why in the world did you get a bidet anyway?! Remember my mammy&daddy had 2&the things they were used for were 1. Washing feet (indeed I did so many time) and 2. Using it for something entirely inappropriate-let's just say it required a lot of cleaning&flushing down the loo after (and no, it wasn't me-a family friend is all ill say!!)

  8. Tell 'em it's also good for washing smelling socks & [when older] cooling down cans of beer.
